GOOD "PEOPLE", WHAT DO YOU THINK?
Good "People" of these United States, tell me what you think. The coexistence of two "People" in the same place relies more often than not on outside influences, than the two inhabitants themselves.
When everyone's historical background, political position, and social status within society are understood and accepted... then true co-existing can begin to take place.
History has too often been misleading, or completely false when presenting one group of "People" to another. Whether information has been purposely left out, disregarded, or pushed away from the forefront of the truth, our present-day historians need to provide adequate historical "Facts" for all.
Public School Systems throughout this country can develop special curriculums that can meet each community's specific racial need.
In my opinion we have enough trained professionals to provide any-one "People" their personal history within "History", which may include, believe it or not, the history of their land of origin, as well as the heritage of that land.
In order to have a better understanding of how one's land of origin determines one's heritage by which to live by, we need to show how the two sides relate to each other. Especially, while living in a land, these "People" of color... of African Descent cannot, and in many cases do not identify as home of "their roots".
Politics is an area that is not always understood, or clearly explained when political views are being expressed from one person's specific point of view.
Certain "States", if not all "States" should be allowed to act as a co-government over internal State affairs (For lack of a better term) and cater to the "People" of that state based on the specific needs of the "People" in that state.
The basic structure of the government would still be the same, but the states would have a better chance at utilizing the particular strengths of that State, for the "People" of that State.
Because State views do not always run parallel with the views of the country as a whole. I'm saying give the States a chance to develop fully within the possibilities of that State and contribute back to the country as a whole.
Not separating any State from the "union" but utilizing their particular strength and contributing back to the union making the union stronger, plus more viable.
Social status has always been of importance to all "People". Unfortunately, the importance of status in this society at times has taken precedence over the well-being of all members of this society.
Ignorance of others, and of ourselves, do more damage to our living conditions than an outright malicious act against another person. The only status within our society that should count for anything should be our "humane" status.
The small minds of those who believe in "Social Status" as representing some type of importance in this society overlook the fact that "social status" cannot give, or take away, "Self-Esteem" or "Self-Pride".
This country is continuously getting smaller, and one day we might turn around and be looking at each other. The alternatives are simple enough. We can let everything ride and come to a head on its own, or we can cogitate the situation and the problems together.
If we choose the second, chances are we can watch our children, and our "People" grow old gracefully and with dignity. Together!
